Location

How do I get to Victory?

Is Victory affiliated with a denomination?

We are not affiliated with any formal denomination such as Southern or Missionary Baptist. We are an Independent Baptist church which simply means we govern ourselves according to the Bible.  We hold true to the doctrinal teachings and beliefs of the Bible.

What Can I Expect at the Services?

When you attend a worship service, you can expect to enjoy the revivalistic hymns & specials that open our services all in an effort to prepare your heart for God’s message. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Shurilla.  Preaching usually lasts about 30-35 minutes. We have Sunday morning 10am classes that we call ‘Adult Bible Fellowship’ or, ABF, which are informal and interactive and divided into smaller groups based on age ranges.  Sunday 11am and 6pm services are straight preaching direct from the Bible.  Wednesday nights are a line-by-line study through a book of the Bible complete with fill-in notes and a special time of prayer. Thursday nights at 7:30 we have Life Groups.  These small groups have 6-8 adults each, including trained Life Coaches, that take a focused look at topics such as ‘how can I put these Bible principles to work in MY life’ while challenging each member to search the scriptures for supporting passages.  Life Groups meet at the church in a relaxed and highly interactive setting.

What Kind of Music Will I Hear?

You will hear Christ-honoring traditional hymns, choruses, and instrumental and vocal specials all played and sung in a revivalistic, upbeat manor.  Our platform instruments include two pianos, acoustic guitar, mandolin, acoustic bass, and the occasional wind instrument.

Children

Where do I take my children?

Starting with excellent young-age child care, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For children four years old through sixth grade during the Sunday 10am & 11am main service, there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.  Wednesday nights at 7, September through May, we offer King’s Kids for your 4yr old through 6th grade age child which includes games, singing, Bible memorization, and age-appropriate Bible messages.  Thursday nights during Life 2.0 we offer child care for 10 yr olds and under (please contact us to reserve your child’s spot Thursday nights).

How Should I Dress?

There is no dress code at Victory for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress during our main services; however, our goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at Victory!

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Victory for your offering; we want our service to be a gift to you! We hope you will find a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
